- You may sit the UCAT only once per test year

Information for Returning UCAT Candidates
If you created a UCAT account in a previous year—whether or not you took the test—you must use the same account for UCAT 2025.

UCAT 2025 Key Dates and Booking Advice
Staying aware of deadlines is essential when booking the UCAT test.Test slots are released in phases. Booking early gives you:

- Flexibility in case rescheduling is needed
Late bookings may leave limited or inconvenient options.
UCAT Bursary Scheme
UK candidates experiencing financial difficulty can apply for a UCAT Bursary.
- Covers the full UCAT test fee

- Voucher must be used at the time of booking
Bursary approval must be completed before booking the UCAT test.
Access Arrangements for UCAT Test
Candidates requiring accommodations such as:
- Extra test time
- Rest breaks
- Other approved adjustments must have their access arrangements approved before booking the UCAT test.
Extended test appointments cannot be added to a standard booking. If approved, you must cancel any standard test and rebook an extended session, subject to availability.
Fitness to Test Policy Explained
By attending the UCAT test, candidates confirm they are medically and personally fit to sit the exam.
If illness, injury, or personal circumstances affect your ability to test, review the Fitness to Test Policy before booking or attending. Sitting the test means you accept your condition at that time.
How to Book UCAT Test
Step 1: Create a UCAT AccountÂ
- New candidates must create an account
- Returning candidates must use their existing account
- Use your legal name exactly as on your photo IDÂ
Accepted photo ID is strictly defined. A mismatch may result in being denied entry to the test centre and losing your test fee.
You do not need to provide a UCAS Personal ID or University choices. These are collected later directly from UCAS.
After Account Creation:Â
Once your UCAT account is created:
- You will receive login details from Pearson VUE
- A unique UCAT Candidate ID will be assigned
- Account setup may take up to 1 working day
In some cases, additional verification may be required. Delays in account setup are not accepted as reasons for missing booking deadlines.
Step 2: Book Your UCAT Test
After successful booking, you will receive:
- A test booking confirmation email
- A payment receipt email
It is your responsibility to ensure booking is completed before the deadline. Technical issues or missed deadlines are not accepted as mitigating circumstances.

The UCAT is delivered at Pearson VUE test centres across the UK and in over 130 countries worldwide.
Candidates outside the UK who face travel difficulties due to exceptional circumstances should review options for online proctored UCAT testing before booking.
Private Access Code Explained
A Private Access Code (PAC) is not required for standard UCAT bookings.
PACs are issued only to candidates approved for:
- Extended test sessions
- Online proctored UCAT exams
Standard candidates can book directly without a PAC.
