Although he studied in the United States, he chose Quest for Success (QFS), Bangalore for focused SAT guidance. He wanted structure and support. He wanted a plan that worked. After his training at QFS, he scored a remarkable 1560.
Lets explore his journey, by breaking down the specific reading habits, reasoning methods and mindset choices that shaped his final score.
Ayaan always enjoyed math. Yet reading felt unpredictable. He often understood passages but lost time while choosing the answer. He soon realised that the scholastic aptitude test reading section was not about reading more. It was about reading better.
He needed a method. He needed steps he could trust during long passages. This search led him to Quest for Success.
Unlike many students, Ayaan did not struggle with vocabulary. His challenge was time. At QFS, he learned a new process.
His mentor taught him to move through each passage with a small checklist:
This made long passages easier to handle.
He learned to choose answers by finding the “why” behind each option. This helped him reduce guesswork and build accuracy.
He used short reading drills to speed up. He also practiced without distractions to build focus.
QFS helped him learn techniques that worked for his style. Below are the methods he used most.
Instead of reading the entire passage slowly, he learned to read it in layers:
This reduced confusion and increased understanding.
He crossed out two wrong choices quickly. This saved time and helped him stay calm.
He marked where each idea shifted. This allowed him to locate evidence faster.
He learned that many wrong answers “sound right.” He focused only on ideas that matched the passage.
His journey also changed how he saw the exam.
He discovered that the SAT never asks vague questions. Each question has a predictable pattern.
He stopped rushing.
He learned that calm reading improves accuracy more than fast reading.
After many drills, he could predict question types. This helped him move through passages with ease.
To keep his preparation simple, he followed a routine built with his teacher.
He spent ten minutes reviewing old errors. This reminded him of patterns to avoid.
He read short articles every day. This helped him think faster during long passages.
Timed practice taught him how to work under pressure.
His mentor tracked his progress and corrected flaws early.
Every student preparing for the digital SAT can use the ideas he followed:
Reading skill improves every section, not just one.
A method reduces surprises.
Daily reviews help fix small issues quickly.
Short sessions build long-term progress.
A calm mind sees patterns faster.

The final 1 to 1.5 months are dedicated to comprehensive revision and full-length testing, ensuring students are thoroughly prepared and confident before the DSAT.
The tests are conducted on our specialized testing platform, meticulously designed to mirror the exact format and structure of the DSAT, ensuring students are fully acquainted with the test presentation and layout.
On average, we assign two tests per week to the students: one during the week and one over the weekend, ensuring consistent practice and progress throughout the course. This goes to cover about 15 adaptive full-length tests.
After every test, a comprehensive review session is conducted, during which the mentor provides a detailed walkthrough of the entire test, ensuring that students fully understand each question and concept. This process aims to enhance efficiency by teaching students effective time management strategies and providing them with the ideal and optimum methods for solving problems.
